Artist Chan-Hong Baek has been showcasing works that explore the unique properties of traditional hanji (Korean handmade paper) through innovative techniques. His creations include installations that merge thinly crafted hanji with light, artworks that utilize the transparency of hanji to cast shadows, and pieces that encapsulate personal memories and experiences within hanji. These works demonstrate Baek’s profound understanding of hanji and his exceptional ability to expand its artistic possibilities, offering fresh perspectives on the material’s potential.

Education: Graduated from Hongik University, College of Fine Arts (Western Painting), and National Gangneung University, Graduate School of Arts.
